Come experience the healing power of Sound Bowl Meditation. This unique modality uses vibrational sound to help reduce stress and create a deep sense of peace that permeates mind, body, and spirit.

The harmonic vibrations of Sound Bowls impact the nervous system by lowering the stress hormone levels and reducing stress as brain waves synchronize to the vibration of the bowl—engaging the relaxation response by lowering blood pressure, slowing down respiration and heart rate.

Sound Healing has been shown to support the healing process for conditions of the nervous system, sleep disorders, anxiety and depression, cancer patients and those with chronic illness by reducing stress and aiding in pain management, as well as releasing emotional and physical trauma.

Yoga Therapist candidate Rose Csekle brings a multifaceted background in both healing and sound modalities. She is certified in Sound Bowl Healing and Qi Gong, and is also a piano teacher and coach with extensive training in voice and music education.

Rose now offers these powerful sessions once or twice a month  Join her for a calming, re-energizing sound healing experience that includes:

  • Practices on the physical, emotional, mental, and energy levels

  • Sound Bowl Meditation experience

  • Chime Meditation, using musical chimes representing the four elements

  • A variety of sound healing instruments to make each experience unique

  • Use of astrological and lunar influences and aspects, in order to raise vibration

  • Journaling to integrate the experience.

Rose M. Csekle, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, YACEP, is a registered yoga teacher and a Certified Clinical Yoga Therapist.  She attended Aum Home Shala Yoga Accredited Therapy School graduating with 1,135 hours.   While attending this rigorous program Rose completed Yoga for Mental Health Advanced Certification, Creating and Developing Programs for Cancer, Yoga Therapy for Autism, Parkinson's, Dementia, & Neuroplasticity among others. She holds teaching certifications in Sound Bowl Healing, Qi Gong, Kids Yoga, and personal training,  fitness instructor, and is a massage therapy graduate. Rose also teaches Dance (Ballet, Movement, Pilates, & kids Yoga), piano for children and coached for auditions.  She studied music education at MDC-Kendall and studied voice with Gina Maretta, Sheila Barish, and Warren Broome, and piano with Linda Bird.

Tips on how to enhance your Sound Healing Meditation

  • Blankets, eye masks and socks help keep you warm and cozy!

  • Essential oils, mood lighting, or charging your crystals can elevate your experience.

  • You can layer your mat with extra blankets or comforters for comfort.

  • “Legs on a Chair” (or sofa) is a restorative yoga pose that has many benefits, including management of lower back pain.

  • Sound Healing Meditations are a powerful medium that can access emotional & physical blockages stored in the subtle bodies. Practicing Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), protecting your mind and body from strenuous physical activity and sensory overload at least ONE HOUR prior, will serve you best for this profound experience.

  • No experience is necessary to participate, but following these guidelines will ensure your best experience.

In order to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Before Session:

  • Adjust your Zoom settings to eliminate background noise by enabling option to preserve original sound; for help, go to support.zoom.us.

  • Using earphones (plugged into your phone or computer), headphones, or Bluetooth devices will provide the best sound experience.

  • Wear comfortable clothing.

  • Find a Zen-zone to relax, pre-set your water, mat, blankets, and yoga props, elevate your legs on a chair, or sit on a comfy chair if you prefer, before 7:30 pm.

Log-in:

  • Turn OFF cell phones prior to logging in.

  • Turn OFF your computer mic.

  • Turn ON your computer video.

  • Be mindful of unintended sounds if entering the session after it begins (NO admittance after 7:55pm).

During the Session:

  • Energy work such as Sound Healing Meditations can access your subconscious mind and “release” patterns, trapped emotion, and Samskaras (impressions of the mind/memories that no longer serve us).

  • Allowing physical and emotional manifestations is an important aspect of the healing process. Learning to “dance the dance of life” teaches us to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Subtle shifts in perception and tolerance are reflective of the full spectrum of life, which in turn translate into coping skills and resilience. Those skills are essential tools for our well-being and become priceless when dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, chronic illness and pain management.

After Session:

  • Hydrate!

  • Practice Mauna (silence) after meditation for a more profound experience.

  • Journaling is an effective way to integrate experiences while they are still fresh in your mind.

  • Sweet Dreams and Hari Om!

Next Few Days:

  • You may notice that your sleep pattern has improved or that you are more rested, relaxed or tired than usual. Continue to hydrate, especially if you notice any kind of discomfort (you are detoxing).

  • You may notice shifts in your vibration, perception, thoughts, and actions, or heightened awareness for a few days.

  • This is your body’s way of synthesizing your experience and releasing old patterns. Think of if as “reprogramming your subconscious.” It is readily available to us when we allow it in and offer no resistance.

  • Remember to LIVE your YOGA on and off the mat!
